I have been damn excited since my sis shared to me about the news that The Hunger Games is being filmed, and since then I have been keeping an eye about the screening of the movie since then. AND... FINALLY I got to watch the movie!!!
I didn't actually plan to watch it so soon, busy with work and all the nonsense stuff, I thought I would have to wait a few weeks to watch it. And yesterday I went dinner with Zhao Xian and Qin Hong, one of us (I've forgotten who was it) suggested to watch a movie. So there we were~
Here's a few pics I've got from the Internet:
The main character: Katniss (I don't know the actress' name, but she acted really well, like Katniss's coming out just from the books) |
Peeta, the male main character. Handsome and rich. Fallen in love with Katniss since young. Charming. |
The most touching scene - Rue's death. I didn't cry, though. Maybe it was because I have already read the books and the storyline was no surprise to me. |
Good movie, I would say. Comparing it to the book, I can see that all the important details can be found in the movie, although some details have been different. All the actors have done a really good job, it was like all the characters in the books came alive (the Twilight crew failed in doing so, I don't know why). I love Katniss, Peeta, Gale, Haymitch, Cinna, and even minor characters like Rue and Cato. I love every part of the movie(just as much as I love the books)!!!
This is a MUST for you who have not watch the movie yet, and I am planning to watch it for the second time.
PS: I've spent almost RM200 for The Hunger Games so far. I read the chinese version when I was in form 5, before the exams, and get totally obsessed. After reading the whole series, I went for the English version. The chinese version costs me around RM120, and RM56 for the English ones (yeah, translated version costs a damn lot), then RM8 for the movie (totally worth it). And I do not regret!!!
PSS: My English really SUCKS... Should read more to improve it...

I feel like watching it, but is there a lot of violent scenes in the movie? (I don't really like scenes with a lot of blood)
Honestly there are a few, but not as much as the other horror movies. Still acceptable, I think.
